4 great reasons to become a TOPRA member

1. Stand out from the crowd

TOPRA membership demonstrates your commitment to the profession and your ongoing development. When you join us as a Registered Member, you will be able to use the letters MTOPRA after your name, as well as our new digital badges to verify your status. Members can also apply for professional registration as a Registered Scientist (RSCi) or Chartered Scientist (CSci).

2. Grow your skills and knowledge

Keeping your skills and knowledge up-to-date is vital for ensuring you are at the top of your professional game. Members can also benefit from discounts on selected training courses, webinars and key events such as the TOPRA Symposium.

In addition to our regular sector-specific newsletters for members, our online peer-reviewed journal Regulatory Rapporteur covers developments from across the profession. It now also features the latest industry news and a new podcast series, RegRapPod

3. Take your career to the next level

We are here to support every step of your career journey, whether you are starting out or in a senior leadership role. Our Competency Framework will help you and your employer structure your career development plan and identify training needs, while our CPD tool will help you record your progress.

Our free webinars will keep you informed about the latest guidance, and we even offer a free 30 minute career coaching session to help get you on the right track. Our volunteering opportunities can also help you to develop your skills and confidence to extend your network and make valuable connections.

4. Be part of a diverse international community

Our INs (International Networks) provide a forum for regulatory affairs professionals living and working in a country or region to network and discuss the latest topics, while our SPINs (Special Interest Networks) do the same for specialist areas such as Biotechnology and Regulatory Intelligence. Their webinars and member meetings are a great way to connect and share topical knowledge and information.

To ensure that TOPRA members can get involved with our INs and SPINs communities quickly and easily, our online platform and mobile app (available on iOS and Android) enables you to join in wherever you are and whenever you like. You can take part in existing conversations or create new ones, as well as access useful resources and updates.

Volunteers are at the heart of TOPRA’s community. Becoming one is not only a great way to give something back, but it also provides opportunities to develop your skills, confidence and your network and connections.
